Jeremiah 50:5-7

^5 (A)They shall ask the way to Zion, with faces turned towards it, ^(B)saying, ‘Come, let us join ourselves to the Lord in an ^(C)everlasting covenant that will never be forgotten.’

^6 (D)“My people have been lost sheep. ^(E)Their shepherds have led them astray, turning them away on the mountains. From mountain to hill they have gone. They have forgotten their fold. ⁷ All who found them have devoured them, ^(F)and their enemies have said, ‘We are not guilty, for ^(G)they have sinned against the Lord, ^(H)their habitation of righteousness, the Lord, ^(I)the hope of their fathers.’
